The Black Medical Association (BMA) at the University of Michigan Medical School is dedicated to recruiting and supporting Black students through academic, social, and professional networks. Committed to addressing minority health disparities, BMA educates and advocates for health equity while preparing pre-medical students for medical careers. As a member of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), BMA is supported by the Office of Health Equity and Inclusion.

MISSION​

Serve as a collective voice for underrepresented medical students, advocating to peers and the University of Michigan Medical School.

Foster a supportive and inclusive community among underrepresented students.

Promote the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of minority students.

Address health disparities in underserved communities through outreach and education initiatives.
